The size of the drag when you click and drag in a new tool or obj

Hello,

I have a very basic question regarding Zbrush. When you click and drag out a file (like a tool or an imported obj) does the “degree to which” you drag it out affect its size? Meaning… is the model “bigger” or “smaller” depending on the length of the drag, and does that mean anything - or does the size of the model not mean anything in Zbrush?

Thank you.

No. The click+drag is essentially a legacy method to do with ZBrush’s 2.5D origins. The moment you enter Edit mode you can scale the model how you want in the viewport but that is like zooming in with the camera - it doesn’t affect the model’s actual size.

You can change the actual size of a model by adjusting the Tool>Deformation>Size slider or the sliders in the Tool>Geometry>Size section.
