Trying to give form to a thought that has been lingering in my mind for quite some time…I am fascinated by the liminal territory between avian instinct and human consciousness, and this creature emerged from that obsession. The elongated beak, vigilant eye, and attenuated anatomy suggest a being that appears ancient, yet strangely sentient, as though it carries forgotten memories from a world beyond our own.
My sculptural language often explores psychological ambiguity through anatomical distortion; rather than pursuing realism, I seek emotional presence. The sparse plumage, weathered skin, and silent posture create a tension between fragility and authority, inviting the viewer to project their own narratives onto the form.
While sculpting, I found myself drawn to the creature’s introspective gaze. It feels less like a monster and more like a solitary witness, an observer suspended between civilisation and wilderness, intellect and instinct. This piece reflects my continuing fascination with creating unfamiliar life forms that evoke curiosity rather than fear, where organic imperfections and tactile surfaces preserve the spirit of traditional clay within a digital medium.
