Hi everyone… :slight_smile:

Well the modeling was between MODO and LW,mesh sculpt was Modo, texture painting is ZB then Modo, details sculpt was ZB, normals and displacments sent to LW for render.

here are some test renders on the birds… I will put up more screens and a video test… hopefully :slight_smile:

That´s a fine bird you have there, the feathers are stunning and the overall anatomy of the bird looks perfect to me. Would be great to see it animated.

You should also post some techniques over here http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=58228 and who knows you could end up being the winner of a massive collection of feather textures :smiley:

Edit: And I´m no expert on birds either…just my personal impression that it looked perfect…

Wow that’s amazing Khalid! One of the best if not best birds I’ve seen done on 3D. I would really appreciate an insight into your process of making this one i.e. feathers etc. even in other programs like Modo or LW.

overall great work extremly nice feathers but i must say i dont like the overall look. im not a bird specialist and i dont know if this is his natural look but i find the feet too large and the peak form doesnt seem right it kinda looks like a french bulldog. doesnt look fiersome more stuffed in the result render everything looks delicious exept for the head looking a bit small
