I couldn’t be more impressed or delighted. I also appreciate the other posts offering credit to Giambologna. As an art historian, it’s nice to see modern artists inspired by great masters and not just comics and underwear models.

There is a copy of the original sculpture at the Loggia dei Lanzi in Firenze and while I think some of the comments are fair, I also believe this work offers the same up swept emotion one sees on Pzza Signoria.

Some details are very good, but a lot more work/study before this comes to my top row. Do better than the original, which itself isn’t so great ither, because it isn’t the original, it is preceded by the greek sculpture ;):+1:
