Here is a piece I have been working on for the past couple of days. The newt and tree branches are made up of ZSpheres while the fish was modeled in Wings a while ago for the Fishing Hole scene. Everything else was made out of alphas.

You might like this tutorial that shows how to get interesting volumetric light effects, makes the water look much murkier, if you like that sort of thing…
Hey mestela, I checked out your link, it reminds me alot of the Ken Brilliant tutorial in 1.55b. He used an alpha to limit the placement of the fog to certain areas.
