I don’t very well understand where is the “painting” mode ?
It’s just a visualisation in the 3D space or there is a part of painting object ?
There are some brushes in the files but how used it ?
They said object from Lightwave (.obj) but have you try with some object obj from Zbrush ?
It’s the same format ?

arff Pilou, this is just a real time mini 3d engine witch render as a “painting” matiere.
about import I tried some modele low meshs but it crash.
and “P” ou can watch the object selected in wire frame mode.
Not really utility with that tool as that, just a demonstration of 3d coding.
and they put the source code if you want to do for us a new painter 3d… :))

try it… it will be very very usefull and it have many functions very nice.

I just record in Avi , is any other possibilities ?
I have made my try at 100% of the screen.
Result is quasi perfect excep a little lost of definition ! maybe 4% (not of the size) of the definition, the clearness !
En 2 mots l’image n’est pas identique à l’original, mais c’est très lisible
And what is arrived when the Short cut F8 (stop the record) is used by the program that you record ? Conflict or Not ?
And it’s seems that the prog use is some slow down ?
But you right it’s amazing
Of course the file resultant is some heavy, but now we have DvD

last question : there is not the same in the native XP Windows system ?
codec = codeur decodeur.
avi is only a contener, you must specify the engine video compression, as microsoft video1(bad) or cinepak(bad) or divX4/5 (better) or Xvid etc…
this codec will improve or detroy the quality of your video record, and final file size.
ex: with microsoft video 1 you can have for few minutes a 500 Mo file size and bad quality…
the same time with divX( for exemple) can do 10 Mo and good quality.
clic on compression button and choose a codec installed in your computer… If you don’t have divx… download it (google codec divx).
about function key F7/F8 I never use them with any software that I have. so no conflict, but if you have this case… just change them…
But where I define this codec in the “Sreen recorder” ?
Or you want to say that Imust modify the avi file resultant ?

full Screen 1280*1024, Quality of compression 100%, mode watch it enable (nothing is recorded when nothing change on the screen)
Codec MPeg, wings3D session with a simple object mirroring and extruding and smoothing
3 minutes = 20 megas
Is a normal size ?
And no doubt the multitask slow down the prog recording in reasonable manner!

You can make exactly the same with Zbrush than gertrud !!!
Just import your Photo on plan3d and use any alpha with different intensity of Z
Not many people has make that here because re copy a photo is some infament but sure you can!!!
For the fist programme it’s more evoluate because you can make that on some volume in 3D space and rotate it !
But Zbrush again can make that
Zbrush is a pure true gem

Pilou… of course Divx is legal format… what is illegal format for you…?
codecs can be installed on your system… and any video application can use them.
so if your list of codec is short… find for exemple … “sld pack codec” and install it.
well mpg is good format… but Xvid or Divx … or even MP4 from Microsoft better then.
3 mn musr do approximatively less than 1 Mo… but … if you want an advice, dont capture entire screen… as a draw bigger screen … bigger file size.
so … push “Select source button” and choose “a region” a frame will appear resize and press enter … that 's better.
try many codec … to find the better.
and don’t affraid… nothing illegal… ahahahah :)))
ps : for sound… that same, you have the sound codec as… Mpeg Layer 3 (MP3) gsm, dsp, wma pcm, adpcm etc…
