Simply submit a support ticket and let us know what you would like the email address changed to. We’ll make the modification, which will be retroactive so that your previous tickets (if any) will still be tracked in your account.

I posted in general about a problem I’m having with appended tools but recieved no help or information as to how I might correct this issue, its quite annoying.
Anyhow I will post here in hopes that perhaps zbrush dev will read this.
I’m a creature artist and currently working on various creatures for a game project. I have been using zbrush for a few years but never experienced this issue before and can’t seem to find a resolution short of maybe reinstalling the program.
When trying to append tools to the main creature body tool I get a successflul append but once I move the appended item into position something strange is happening. The object say a tooth on a gumline for example. When I rotate the main tool (the creature) the appended tool (the tooth) is rotating at a slightly different orbit and moves from the position I placed it on the gumline. When I snap the view back to front view the tooth is where it should be but everytime I click and drag rotate in the viewport the same thing happens the tooth crosses the gumline into space. Other characters/creatures I have created have not had this problem and I’m not sure what could have caused it, is there a solution? Is it a bug with Zbrush? Is it a bug with my model (main subtool)? Is there a way to reset the main tool to the 0,0,0 axis and have subtools remain where I place them on that main subtool?
I hope someone from Pixologic can help with this.

Not sure what you mean about share the tool? If you mean can I give you a copy unfortunately that is impossible. But I will attempt to make a video, I haven’t used those features yet in zbrush so I’ll read up on it and get one made to post.
I am working on another character for the moment and added two eyes as subtools and have no problems with it. I would hate to have to remake the creature because of some bug in it, got allot time invested in it. Anyhow, I’ll get up on making video’s in zbrush then post a reel on it.

Here is a video showing a 3D sphere I brought into the image for the eyeball. I centered the main tool (the creature) by using the set pivot option as this was the only way I could see how to maybe fix the orientation of my creature and then appended the sphere I dragged it up and rotated the creature in the window so you could see how the sphere orbits outside the main tool this happens if the eye is moved to its socket as well.
If this doesnt help let me know how to share the tool with you and I will do so. be aware it is a large file not sure if your board allows for those sizes?

P.S. Since the board has a 2mb limit I will have to remake the video its just over 4 mb.
P.P.S. Well after getting the file in a zip below the 2 mb limit I recieved a new upload error saying it now exceeded a 500kb max file size?

Are you serious? Do we get paid if we do you’re job for you i.e. find bugs in the software and submit them to you’re q and a database.
You want to enlist all the users as unpaid testers. That’s wonky. I’d hope that if we post in this forum that the moderators write up the bugs and post them to the database. If you want to open up the q and a database for egalitarian purposes. Fine that’s very noble.

I’ve been experiencing some problems with my light box lately. When I start ZBrush, I get this error window:
Internal Error.\ AFile.cpp Line: 728
Unable to open / create a file c:\program files (86)\Pixologic\zbrush 3.5 R3/ZStartup emplates/search.mem
Then ZBrush opens and the Light Box is not working. Any help on this subject would be appreciated.

Hi guys, quick question, I have brush 3.2 on my mac but don’t have the lightbox and more specifically, need the planar cut brush and other brushes a lot of people seem to have but I can’t find anywhere. Any advise?
I do not believe the 3.2 for mac has lightbox or the brushes you desire. those are PC 3.5 only i think.

Wondering why I can not access the posts/threads within the FAQ when I’m logged in, but can when I’m logged out… what the heck? Is my account not “activated”? Or have I been restricted for some reason? This is only the 3rd post I’ve ever tried to leave on here. Hmm… =(
