The Monkey King (also known as Qi Tian Dashen, Sun Walker, and Fighting Buddha) is one of the main characters in the four famous Chinese novels Journey to the West (author: Wu Chengen).
The Monkey King is also a representative of an attempt to transcend the natural order, whose name has been interpreted by many religious scholars as “emptiness” because of “enlightenment”.
Reflecting the emptiness and nothingness of the real order, the human quest for a new order and the idea of freedom.
I was deeply shocked by this evil, perverse, terrifying image of the Monkey King, so I decided to make this image into a CG work.
