This 3D artwork began as a simple study from a beautiful photograph -Monk with Elephant.
While recreating the scene in 3D, I later discovered the story behind it.
The monk, Phra Kru Aod, is known in Thailand for his compassion toward elephants and his efforts to rescue them from difficult conditions and give them a safer life.
Learning about his work changed the meaning of this piece for me. What began as a study of pose, form and composition slowly became a tribute to kindness, respect for animals, and the quiet bond between humans and nature.
