The Last of Us - Character Sculpts (+ images Pg 8 & Pg 12)

I love that I can play through a brilliant game like this and then come to these forums and enjoy amazing bts material and express my gratitude and admiration directly to a contributing artist.

A truly moving and frightening experience, loaded with beautiful graphical content that really does seem to push the PS3 to its limits.

Great sculpts for a landmark game! Congrats! No doubt you are very proud, and should be. :+1:

Impressive work. What I notice is the hair of your characters. No more words: Excellent.

I forgot about the seashells  That was the Lewis Fisher school of design.

Schlord Flim Flam!

Amazing. Humbling to see!
Makes me realize Last of Us is a game I can’t miss.

Top notch modeling!

Best regards,

wowwwww…:+1: amazing works…

Hi Mike, I’m from Argentina, and a passive and anonymous reader of zbrush Central, but after seeing your post, I felt the need to thank you for your amazing work, so I register to do it.
I hope you can tell us more about the workflow you use, and just one question the hair in the render of the man, are the hair planes? or you use fibermesh or something like that in the final render?
Thanks and congrats again…

Matiass

simply outstanding

Well. That’s set the new standard in 3d printing. Best I’ve seen. Remarkable.

Absolute Masterpieces. Top of the top Mike.

Congratulations to you and the whole Naughty Dog team for your success.

Jaw dropping work! Congratulations!

Crazy good:+1:

awesome! MAN! :+1:congrats

stunning work. I would kill to see your hair workflow!

great work! The sculpts done for the previous Uncharted games already looked great, but this is just off the chart phenomenal!

Would love to know the time frame it took for a sculpt of this quality.

Awesome!!

These made my day. Truly spectacular. Any background on the hair, how the basic planes are developed – to-- how you translate those to final output… actually anything you can tell us would be appreciated! Thank you for posting.

Awesome work. Creepiest zombies I’ve ever seen.

What was your technique for distressing cloth, like the holes and tears in the backpack and clothes. I’m curious what combination of brushes you used for that. I LOVE the look.
