I think this is my first post here. Although I registered long time ago.
It´s a pleasure for me present you my last image about the fantastic actor Morgan Freeman. I’ve been trying to make a film noir tribute too.
I see I’m better modeler and texture artist now. I started this project long time ago, probably two years ago but I couldn’t finish it because I have a lot of work and I needed to improve my skills.
The process is classic. 3dsmax for the poly modeling. after I used Mudbox (sorry! :D), I love the import layer in Mudbox is good for the little changes exporting the basemesh from Max, but Mudbox is slower than Zbrush so I needed go faster. When I finish the little changes in Mudbox I used the Zbrush for the pores and wrinkles.
I made the textures with BodyPaint and PhotoShop and postproduction in photoshop. I hope someday made the textures with Zbrush, but at the moment it´s so strange for my classic mind!
The hair is Hair&Fur, the system hair by default in Max.
