"The imported mesh must have...", problem with 3D Max and StoreMT button

I have sculpted a model in Zbrush, but I don’t like the UV the model has, so, I need to replace the UVs by pressing ‘StoreMT’ button, importing the mesh with the fixed UVs and pressing ‘Switch’ button. The problem comes when I import the fixed mesh to Zbrush. It says “The imported mesh must have identical points and faces…”. I’ve been trying different exporting options in 3D Max but there’s no way I can get it working… I have tried UVMapper, it works, but I need to redo the UVs in 3D Max.

How can I get it working?

which version of MAX are you using???

anyway, it is probably 2009.

in the import or export options inside of max turn off everything in the “optimize” section.

that should fix your problem.

I also recommend trying this on a simple box…get the workflow down, then do it on your actual model.

Yes, I’m using 3D Max 2009. I tried disabling all optimize options, it didn’t work. I tried disabling every export/import options and it didn’t work neither.
