Hi, everyone! This is my first CG work and it took me 5 months to make. The oil painting comes from Rubens’ “The Hunt of the Hippopotamus”, in which there are so many kinds of creatures and the exaggerated actions deeply attract me, but the production is very difficult, especially the action collision relationship between various animal figures, the control of the big picture and the research on the muscle structure of these creatures (the models are all started from 0 in zbrush).
I remember teacher Guang Yang said “to understand nature through the carving and research of biological muscle structure”, I think I have some understanding of nature through the completion of this work. Therefore, I am very grateful to teacher Guang Yang for his patient guidance, and his pursuit of art has deeply influenced me!
