The human anatomy and 11 systems of the body

Stunning work Arran, the best of luck to you!

Wow, really hardcore stuff here. Really the fundamentals we all should follow to sculpt the human figure. You are providing us with some amzing work and inspiration. Keep up the good work :).

Artist career with medical career background… both are stunned - truely remarkable.

If this ever gets into a book, please submit the ISBN. That muscle work is amazing and clean too?

Surely your PC/Mac must be grinding down to a crawl by now?

I can’t wait for another Up, and another, and another…

I just played around a bit whilst waking up. I need to go for a walk and stretch my legs before i pin myself to Zbrush again and get the rest, hopefully most of teh muscular sytem done. I really am excited about the face as it will determin what the character looks like in a way.

dustbin_1uk: I would love to do a book and well up until now I have been thinking a book on medical imagery, a human body one for children or young adults, but now you got me thinking about making the best job I can of this anatomy and how about a book for modelers, lots of dynamics, strip downs and well anything someone may need. thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks guys for your words, they really do help keep me going :-). []STARTMUSCLES2.jpg

I love this thread , been checking in now and then for updates.
It’s incredible how much effort and patience you are putting into this project.
Your use of Zspheres is masterful and inspiring and to boot this is very educational

Keep going ! :+1: :+1:

this thread is so inspiring i cant belief how much effort you must have put in. I’ll have to look more often for updates in this thread.

i think that making such thing in zbrush is a great idea, you have flexibility and you can quickly render any kind of movie with great materials (who knows how many amazing options zbrush4 will bring in terms of rendering/materials). Overall, great and lucrative project for the future.

simply amazing, keep up the good work :+1:

You go for it! I’d buy it! :+1:

Arran, that’s excellent.

Can you show different views of the arm alone? like side views of the inside and outside.

your work blows me away, can’t wait to see it all together, your materials package that you posted some time ago has been a great help to me, at work and at home, thanks for sharing, you’ve got a the touch.

i am making progress with the muscles and the outer skin, and reached a point where i needed a break so played a little to make this image. still as always lots to do, and possibly no sleep tonight :-).

an image to show the skull in place.

Really great work. I would just check out the pectoralis insertion underneath the shoulder, you should have a twist there

this is rediculous. stupid. absurd.

in a good way :+1:

keep it up!

WOW on the head. How did you manage to attach the muscles to the skull? I have seen the chin muscles portrayed in multiple ways though. Some where the chin muscle is a circle of muscle, and some like yours where its straps.

Wow! This journey from the skeleton to the skin has been awesome, your dedication, as ever, is impressive.

VERY nice work, and still my favourite thread on ZBC. :+1:

Arran: OMG man, I really admire your work and patience. You have hudge skill and now hudge knowladge of anatomy. It’s incredible project and I want to see it completed. I’m keeping my fingers crossed

Hi, nice work. What is the material you are using?
