hello everybody
with my latest personal project I decided to represent the great mazinger.
most of the job was done with Maya; anyway this was the first time I decided to try using Zbrush for creating
hard surfaces. I found it very useful expecially because one doesn’t have to worry about topology while
blocking out the major forms (then retopologized with 3dcoat…also used for texturing).
as you can see the set and the light setup are very simple (maybe I’ll try to put it in a more complex environment next time)
the animations you see in the video below are motion capture (the run I used is one of those motion capture examples that come with maya…in the visor)
