The Governator

I’ve been wanting for quite a while now to take the Arnold model and really go to town on it and pose him in one of his classic power poses. So I took the “T” posed model version and transposed him into position.

I’ve only started working on detailing the arms so far (and not done with those, yet) and started the back as well.

This is a WIP, so any crits will be really helpful. I really want to take my time on this one and render him in Lightwave as a classical statue.

Excellent work on Arny.
Those are probably the best his calves ever looked. He said he always thought his calves were his weak point.

This project is looking amazing! Excellent proportions and great likeness, can’t wait to see it done. Congratulations!! :+1: :+1:

The pose looks great, the strain /tense of the hands are well done.
Any chance of using another material? It’s hard to see some of the definitions because of the ‘clayness’.
This will be great as a statue render

Chris.

Very cool christopher. Great transposing! The likeness is really amazing. You may want to look at the knee again and check how the Semitendinosus and the bicep femoris are connecting. Congrats. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

The best pose, maybe…

Hey thanks, guys!

And thanks Ryan for the heads up about the knee area. I’ll put that on the list of things to pay attention to when I get back to the legs.

Next update I’ll use a mat that shows the detail better.

Nice one, Pixoloco!

Truly one of the best (Arnold’s) I have seen.:+1:

awesome sculpt , nice muscle and anatomy :+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

Worked a bit more on the arms and picked a better material for viewing details. More updates soon.

hello there thats looking relly nice. I could tell who it was strait away I loked the mirro too lol. keep up the gd work.

You nailed the physique and poses.

I looked at the thumbnails and said… that’s Arnold.

Well done.

I finally had a couple hours to spare between projects to work some more on this guy. The main areas I concentrated on for this last session was the chest and back. I think those areas still look a bit too “sculpted” and not organic enough, but I’ll work on that next time I get a chance to work more on him.

I also did a little more work on the shoulders as well, but I’m not happy with them yet. Need some smoothing I think. I need a bit more reference on Arnold’s shoulders to get it right.

that’s just messed up…:o

Thanks guys

Took some time here and there last week to try to get a little more done on this. I was hoping to get a little further than this by now, but other projects have been stacking up…

I have yet to get to the shins and feet And still need to fix parts of the knee, shoulders and back. At least, I finally added a shape for his hair, but it’s just a big ol’ blob at the moment.

Crits are always welcome.
