id like to play
the results turned out really cool!
I would really like to see this happen as a challenge or just an ongoing game.
It would be like a “grown up” version of squiggles. Would love to participate!
this is a really fun idea, and great work.
i’ll throw my hat in the ring, if anyone’s interested.

Wow
Such a great idea, and great results. I’d say my favourite part is Greg’s torso with all the hands, would love to see the workflow on that.
great game, i like to try, the models are amazing
That’s right!
Wow, now such overwhelming response! GREAT! I’m very happy…so…now hold on to your pens and team up!
Greg, Matt and I are going for one more spin with yet another method of collaboration, but that shouldn’t stop all of us to go for a few test drives with a base-mesh!
The only thing is this…we should match up certain “skill” levels, not “styles”. Styles could be wildly different, which is always fun, but if the difference in confidence shows too much of a gab, the final model would simply fall apart. This is not in terms of judging, but more in a sense of finding starting points!
I’m not sure how we will organize that, but if anyone has an idea of how to get together a list and then we’ll have a look at the artist’s work and start teaming up…I really know it’s a blast and it’s anyway really just a fun thing!
Alright, I’m screaming for help on the organization of it already…hahaha!
Hmmm…but I don’t even know if too many of you are actually interested in the first place…I just think you might
Anyway, let’s figure out how to get that list together with names and links to a piece of their work or something like that!?
Oh wow, that’s excellent, too! I think Greg’s suggestion was something along those lines…just more focused on the character. It’s also quite cool. But it leads to “pure” art. The crazy version with my base mesh has this great side effect, that it can be actually used in an animation straight up!
I thought of something very ambitious like putting together a crazy type of land of these creatures at the end. I didn’t get to propose that one, yet, but I thought of collaborating on a landscape/set as well to top it all off!
Can you imagine…one whole land full of creatures and it’s all that bizarre melt of artists and styles all in motion…maybe even with some sort of wacky storyline that could evolve much the same? UH, what a wonderful dream.
Heck, why not get started!
If I get you all into messiah:Studio, too, it might even be fundable, HAHAHA!
Anyway…it’s all incredibly inspiring! I’m having a blast just thinking about it!
It doesn’t matter if it’s just a funny dream, but the idea that a freeform fun little project with no strings attached and no deadlines to meet and no obligations other than having fun and relaxing over some creative release…it’s just so very damn pleasant…
Brilliant!
no more to say.
This sounds like fun! Can I play? BTW… sweet modeling guys.
personally i think this was an excellent idea…some exceptionally creative and original stuff comes to life with this method…each artists sensibility made each character unique with their addition to the various parts of each creature. very cool i must say! way to go guys!
aha! Thanks dogbite! Either way looks like a lot of fun.
Great work Taron & Co !!!
Having fun should be the moto of every artist :).
Would love to participate to the fun … just need to some people to collaborate with .
By the way Taron, what is so top notch with project messiah that would make an artist swith to this tool ? Obviously the displacement rendering is great and seems to be fast … would love to have more insight about P:M.
Nice one guys. Are you planning to paint them?
The ease to continue with what you’ve done in Zbrush, making it render in a fully 3d renderworld, rigging it up to make it move. That’s so top notch about it. No hazzles with that stuff!
The Surrealists called this kind of blind collaboration “The exquisite corpse”.

Truly these are equisite corpses.
Are you going to paint the creatures?
A great way to build a very original family!
I see, so it’s just about the same as the other software ;)
Like their designs, great modelling!
