I think this is where I say, Don’t ask me I just work here :). Gentle Giant Studios is in Los Angeles and we manufacture characters from many properties. I pretty much don’t know what happens outside my office. Try using ‘contact us’ on the Gentle Giant website. Good luck.

Awesome sculpt and print. I groan inwardly when I think back to all the hours I spent years ago polishing and tweaking sculpey to look like this. Long live the revelution.

This looks sooooo cool! I love the print!
Are you guys taking this and re casting it into wax an then doing any final sculpting over the top of that or are you always satisfied with what the 3D printer is producing?
Thanks for sharing, you guys are on the cutting edge of this technology and it is very generous of you all to share your knowledge with the rest of us.
Thanks,
NickZ.
This is great! What machine was used to print this out? is it SLA? Viper Pro?
Dave

[QUOTE=bLawless]Here’s the Prince from Hellboy 2.
This is straight output, then resin, then into my hands. I used an exacto knife and threw this piece together in about 15 minutes.
What did you do with the exacto knife? Fix and sharpen up areas? I have never done a 3d print but I am really looking foward to doing one someday in the near future!

I would like to know the same techniques you used after you recieved your print.
Wow!
The print comes out in sections, those sections are molded separately. I was given resin casting sections. They had small seams that needed to be shaved off so the different sections could be fit snugly together, thats all.
wow ! great works !
very inspirative !..5 star
Maybe we can get a tutorial on how you did your print and then cast ?
I imagine this technique is becoming much more mainstream now, so be good to know for us Artists
I’ll be posting some stuff in the future - after I get the green light. Wish I could post more! And there might be a tutorial coming too.
Thanks for all the comments.
