So you made those dreads with zspheres, i like em, maybe ill copy your style.
I guess you dont tesselate them as much as the rest of the model.

Here is a bust of Abe Sapien from Hellboy 2. All of it is from scratch except for the head (though I did the head equipment). The head scan was ‘scalped’ and was choppy, so I projected a quad mesh over it to fix his skull, neck, and tighten it up. I give all the respect to the original artists that designed Abe for the movie. Oh and I did all that hard surface stuff in zbrush, including his goggles
