It needs to be subtler.
Amazing, with the right shader, it’ll look as though it were carved out of stone, i just thought a brass metal look, with no damage might look a little better, just a suggestion, anyway great model mate.
Great sculpture, but you’ve lost something “special” in the application of the texture/material you’ve chosen.
I find the pre-textured version, even though it’s not finished, to be much more compelling.
Just my 2 cents.
the comments on last post took me into another direction, hope you like this one more. still a long way to go.
much better direction for the texturing. I like the nice little cracks in the marble as seen right below the glutes on his leg. A tiny more of that would help you get the (subtle) distressed look you were going for with the rock texture, but it wouldn’t be overkill. Hey, you still coming by on thurs?
Man, that new texture improved things very much! Great to look at.

Maybe it could do with a bit more contrast and defined shadows?
looking very cool, the texture and shader are coming along, the lighting still needs some work though. the bottom looks very flat because there isn’t much contrast between the lights and the darks. it really looks like it needs shadows. you have a strong light from above but it doesn’t appear to be casting shadows. it is most apparent where her body touches the base and cloth, that cloth seems too bright compared to the shading on her body

as constructive critasism i would say work on the shader to make it more like marble use a multishader anistropic type of shader to give it more variation of thick and thines of the highlights and look up some refrences of real marble for refrence of highlights.
and maby some dof for realisme effects
Hey, the marble look, looks great. You gonna put some green into it or something? either way it looks awesome, gj.
Hi cbostjan , Its great!.. Can u pls tell how do you expert and how do you render in mentalray.I hope i would hear from you soon.
thanks!
