Great work. I’m impressed by the low poly and the displacements. Any chance you can direct me (or can anyone else direct me) to an explanation on displacement mapping. I’ve given it an attempt or two, but I’ve been unhapppy with the results.

I m glad you all like it . This model got put on the back burner for a bit. I was working on some other cages. I foolin around a bit with some grungy alphas I think im goin for a weathered concrete look. I think I need to work the cages lower levels a lot more. used the rock alphas as bump maps to save on render times in mental ray. I render some views for you guys to check out. What do you think of rocky weathered look?

mmm, i don´t think this nice sculpting deserves this level of damage. maybe in a small scale of bump. nice views.
