The Art of Taron at Gnomon Gallery

Taron is one of those rare individuals who is both an artist and an innovator. Many of you will undoubtedly remember his “People” movie, which was one of the first examples of animated displacement maps. Others have no doubt used his Zborn Toy, which combines the powers of ZBrush and After Effects. Everything he does has a way of making people go, “Cool!”

Taron has also participated for quite a long time here at ZBC, sharing tips and techniques as well as encouragement. In addition, he’s been a guest presenter at Pixologic User Group meetings and the Pixologic booth at SIGGRAPH. He’s a huge supporter of ZBrush!

For long-time Taron fans and newcomers alike, there’s never been a better time to see this talented artist’s work. Starting tomorrow (Friday, 2-13-2009), Gnomon Gallery is presenting a show dedicated to Taron.

awesome! i am going to try to go, but i have kingsliens class right at the beginning of the opening.

that is kinda scary but cool at the same time!

No one is a greater admirer of Taron than I.
I was fortunate to have been present at one of his
Siggraph demonstrations and was privleged to see an artist
at work.
The morphing video shown here is, and continues to be, a fantastic
example of an imaginative and talented man.

It is unfortunate however, that his video is accompanied by a few
cheap and rather sleazy videos from You tube.
Hope this was truly an upload error.

“cool” dosnt even begin to describe it!

5 estrellas!

the show is awesome! i was at the opening tonight, congrats Taron on such an excellent body of work!

I included a link to my VERY brief synopsis of the show. I was for my semester abroad blog i am supposed to maintain, but i thought i may as well post it on here
