That's cheating or not?

I was wondering if its consider cheating while making an human character, to start the base topology from the ZBrush tools premade human meshes?, I wanted to make my base from them and then tweak / detail it till finish my character, but was wondering if this is consider cheating, for example, In the film industry if I do this do I get fired?

Excuse my foolishness

thanks but I was kinda talking about more in specific about the “IMM BParts” Tool, the premade human meshes, not the mannequins

Only if the end result looks exactly like the basemesh and there was no effort put into sculpting. Otherwise its no more cheating than using a torus primitive instead of modeling one poly-by-poly, or using a custom brush/alpha instead of using only the move brush. What ultimately matters is your end result (and how efficient you were at achieving it if you’re working in a deadline-based industry).

Some studios might even have their own basemeshes, and/or an existing library of models for you to kit bash with (perhaps even custom IMM brushes if there are other artists there using zbrush and taking advantage of its tools).

Thanks!, now I can sculpt in peace  without starting from a sphere
