I’m (relatively) new to zbrush and I am wondering how to texture a model and render it in maya with mental ray using different materials on the same mesh. More specifically, I have a model that is of a cyborg terminator half machine half human sort with the base mesh being more or less human skin and multiple subtools consisting of machine parts. However, I also sculpted machinery into the base mesh by importing models from maya, creating an alpha, and used drag rect to extrude them from the base mesh, at sub level 6. So I have a mesh that I want to render using part SSS and part metal material, but all on the same mesh. Anyone have an idea how to do this? I uploaded a screen cap of my WIP to better illustrate my question.
Also I need to rig and animate this model so I am exporting displacement and normal maps for rendering.
