texturing dr. lecter

the problem is main shapes, they he dosnt look like lecter at all

i don´t think so, he does look like lecter, problem is he doesn´t look like anthony hopkins. anyway, i don´t know what else to do. i better kill this thread

Just Hannibal can kill it!

if you must kill it, at least have it with a side of favre beans and a nice chiante.

sorry…i couldn’t resist

well, to make him look more like anthony hopkins he needs to look more like dr. hannibal lecter i think

anyways, jokes aside i think his head is not round enough
the basic proportions are little off
also, the symmetry of the head needs to be brocken, anthony’s head isnt symmetric at all.

here are some reference images i used:

mashru, my friend, i really appreciate your interest but, right now, i´m a little fed up with hannibal lecter so i´m going to put some distance with him for a few days and then we´ll see. i agree with your advices, in fact many pics of sir anthony show his head is more rounded than i did. i guess i payed attention to some screen captures not very trustworthy. anyway, we´ll see…

he has some of lectors character i would use a refrence and reshape the head with move tool

well, don´t know if i´m gettin some likeness but, i´m having fun

It’s close. But I think the middle of his face is supposed to be wider. Here are some reference images.

hey, haven´t seen those pics. thx m8

woha way better
his head is still to high tho

Hey, you are getting a likeness there. I still see a bit of a disconnect between the width of the face and that of the head, but you have the overall look alright. The eyes particularly work, he looks like Hopkins playing the crazy Dr. Lecter.

Sometimes the perspective can cause that kind of strangeness. I think that most pictures of celebrities are taken with a long focal length, so ZBrush’s default orthographic view probably wouldn’t be too far wrong, but you might still try drawing it with perspective, or exporting it to render in another program with a regular camaera to see if it still looks weird.

Bravo, man, you’ve come a long way on this piece.

Its close, recognisable but proportions are wrong.

the ears are too low.

only a small pic on a quick search but overlay it in photshop and see where you need tweaking.

A few minor changes and I think you’ve got it. keep up the good work.

El-d

really a good improvement from the previous image.

i am not sure if the ears are too long i think they are ok, since the image el-d posted is from a higher camera angle. its not a straight orthogonal camera like yours.

only crit i can give right now is that the head may be too round right now and the jaw may need to be slightly wider.

but overall, very good update.

later i´ll try to fix the shape problems, right now just want to catch a good expression. thx all for c & c

it’s sooooo close to being right on. keep working at it!

I think the jaw needs to be more massive. Otherwise it’s really good. :+1:
