Hey Nice start,Ive watched the tutorials that started you off also;)
cal
Great work… the hair is really nice.
ummm… how? How do you do it? I can not, for the enjoyment of spli-pea-soup, simply can not figure out this texture stuff. I spend hours working on a mesh, then several more to texture it (poorly I might add). Save it as an obj, or as a tool. Bring it back in later to do some additional work, and the textures are GONE.
So, again I ask, how do you do it. The tutorial are great, yet always seem to leave off some crucial detail, which just adds to the frustration.
Here is a mesh that I have worked on, and can’t seem to “re-load” the texture work.

If you save your model that you have textured in zbrush as an “ztl” zbrush tool, you get an option to include and save the texture with it,
and whenever you load this tool back into zbrush your texture for this tool will auto load with it,
if you however save it as an obj file, you have to import the texture for your model seperatly,by going to texture import, and select your texture, the texture shoul be at the same place as too where you saved out your obj,
First at all, please dont be frustrated!!
Keep on you best attitude:D
Here is the things you are asking for:
The hair for still image is the last thing i do, because i have to Bake (IN Layer Panel)before aking the hair.
Hair:
1.-SimpleBrush
2.-Stroke:Freehand spacing 0
3.-ZAdd: On Intensity 25
4.-RGB: On Intensity 64
5.-Hair1 and Hair2 alpha
For texture:
1.-Load the DemoHead.ztl
2.-Change the material to Fast Shader
3.-In Texture Panel:Press Colorize and Disabled UV
4.-Paint as needed, when finished
5.-Enabled UV
6.-In Geometry Panel put your Model at first level
7.-In Texture Panel: Press GUVTiles
6.-In Geometry Panel: go to the highest level
7.-In Texture Panel: Press Col>Tex and now you will see in the Texture Panel at the left of the canvas your texture map
8.-Save your tool with the texture map
9.-For each subtool you have with your Master model you repeat all this steps.
Hope this help and remember in the zip is a zscript how i made the hair with the two alpha i use for the most

Mario: Fantastic! These are some of my favorite works you’ve done…
The top one, The cyber guy, has some rocking wrinkles on him. He looks like a contemporary guard for the Wicked Witch of the North in a modern Wizard of Oz. The paintwork is nice too.
I love to see what you come up with, my friend. You always make me smile…
Dickie
