Hello.
I’m using a 32 Bit displacement map made in ZBrush in Maya.
When I use Mental Ray to render the model with the displacement map, after setting all the parameters up such as color balance, the render looks fine,
If I add a texture to it, it also looks fine.
However, if I add an Approximation (Subdivision) node so the render would have more polygons and therefor would look better the render looks fine as long as I don’t add the texture…
As soon as I add the texture it appears it doesn’t sit right on the model…

On top you can see the render with no approximation node and at the bottom you can see it with an approximation node, texture is crazy.
I would really appreciate the help.
