A friend send me his model he made in zbrush as a .obj and .mtl file. I was going Retopologize it and rig it in another program for animation, however none the textures will load. I took it back into Zbrush to see if was something I could do, but textures won’t load up on there either. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I was told .mtl has all that info, but I can’t find how to load it.
The .mtl is a text file that references some basic material information including what the texture’s name should be, but it doesn’t contain the texture itself. The image will be a third file that you’ll have to get from your friend.
