Texture with repeated UV's not transferring? Bug?

Hi there,

So I’m having a problem where I import an .ma file from maya where I’ve setup the UV’s. This is in Zbrush v3.5. I apply a texture, and it looks fine, no stretching, etc… using texture 32 as a test. Then i set the repeat values as high as they’ll go to make the pattern smaller. It works and looks great. However, when I try to either transfer this to a polypaint or “select by intensity” to mask it off, it’s as if i never repeated the texture and goes back to the unrepeated version.

any ideas on what may be happening here? Does repeating a texture with outside UV’s not actually “stick”?

It’s not a bug. It’s just how it is at the moment. (And has in fact always been.)

For now, the best in this situation is to use Photoshop to tile the desired texture, then import that into ZBrush and apply it to your model.
