texture problem

hi everybody!
I’m trying to sculpt a simple mask made in xsi with zbrush, but I have a problem with the texture. when I save the polypaint to texture and export it into xsi or maya, even with soften edge active, I have a “squared” border, while normal map is correctly smoothed. I’ve tried also activating the smooth uv button and sculpting againg from the beginning, but I have always the same problem… someone said me to clone the model, go to the lowest level of subdivision and delete the higher levels and subdivide it again with smooth uv, then export the texture, but it doesn’t work.
how can I fix it?
