Texture map from UV map

Can anyone give me some ideas as to why a texture map from new UV map comes out as a solid black square. I have no idea how to trouble shoot this issue. I should see some weird looking pattern of jumbled colours.

Not sure if an image will help at all, this is the best I can describe my problem.

Did you use UV Master? Did you have Polypaint on the critter? Turn off texture and figure out where you are.

No, the tutorial is tp understand the basic function of ZB so i used tool PUVTILE then new texture from uv map. This part is always solid black.

Edit, I’m not sure why I needed to do this but to solve it. I have remake polymesh, subdivide, decimate and finally Dynamesh it to get this.

I’d recommend the ZClassroom videos. I should have asked you how you got to that point. It appears your object may not have been a proper type item(hence MakePolyMesh3D was needed to convert it.)
