Texture issues

I am having texture issues and I am sure I am missing something really simple but I can’t figure it out.

I am using 3.12 for mac but until November was using 3.1 on PC.

In the past when you loaded a texture or turned it on, you would see that texture mapped against the mesh. This doesn’t work for me, not with the default textures in the menu not with a texture I import.

Here is something else, zbrush will not allow me to import anything but a PSD. That isn’t necessarily an issue but why is that the case? it shows pngs, tga, jpegs all greyed out. weird.

help please.

Regarding the non-PSD formats, this is a known issue and will be fixed in an update.
