Texture and posing workflow?

Hi all,
Quick question (and sorry if it’s a dumb one.) After you’re finished with the sculpting of a character and ready to move on to the texturing and posing, which should come first? Is there a certain order that should be followed or does everyone pretty much just have their own preferred workflow? Maybe something (simplified) like:

  1. Create base mesh
  2. Sculpt base mesh
  3. Retop (or ZRemesh)
  4. Reproject detail
  5. Create UVs
  6. Pose
  7. Texture
  8. Render
  9. Post effects

Should #6 & 7 be switched around? Thanks for the help!

once you assign uvs and texture posing shouldnt effect the texture - most like to texture the t posed model then pose its just easier !

Hey Gary, thanks for the reply. That makes total sense. I was just concerned that while posing the textures would get stretched out in places.

they will stretch but so will a pattern on cloth ?!
