Tetsuo is an ancient Samurai, he lives in Japan and his portrait was made because of his great courage in all battles he won.
The Hairs was made with shave and haircut in maya but all the process of this image was made in Modo and ZBrush, except for the compositing in photoshop.

Like the head, cool lighting. Play with the SSS in Modo a bit more and it will look even better. Use a back light maybe with a SSS amount map, give the ears a little glow. I like how you havent over done the DOF. :+1:
