Test the Zbrush Skill Tools in Colorization & Painting:)

Number 4 : deep ocean
Are you started for the long play record?
(more 22 old record : jantim release it maybe soon)

In Zb : as you can draw any Alphas for your Brush it’s infinite
As you can take any material or any texture it’s infinite
Have you a “Deco Brush” in Painter?

Yes, thats true Frenchy, but at the end of the stroke -in bristle mode- the alpha often makes a “negative” substract…not so cool, …but it gives the look of watercolor, so “every disadvantage has its advantage !”…to use the words of an famous Dutch Trainer

In Painter you have an" image-hose" that looks cool too !

For the Record breaking picture i wanted to do a Cali in the painting style of the" Old Masters" but i forgot one thing : " My skills are more of a young amateur !! "
So after some disappointing paintngs, i used a more Graphic style !

Congratulations Jantim! And what a record it is… Cruijff would be proud.
I think your drawing style is great, I couldn’t make so much Cali-paints with my current skills. You’ve done a great job, so stretch those tired fingers and give yourself a pat on the back. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Number 23 : TV soap “Urgency” with Georges Clooney

I will try to “phone” Cali about that
Wishing that she is not in hollidays

Ps Yes painting with oil like old masters is some difficult for amators like us
And more difficult on a computer
Have you some weak will to continue or are you fagged :qu:
Of course you are not obliged of nothing
Maybe Pride will beat you in some times

Bravo again for the efforts!
You have made quasi three times my own record

Hi again!

javi72h.jpg

Plakkie…thank’s, i see you know your J.C. 's

Frenchy…making these skin-blends is not easy, i don’t like the smutch-brush for that…and i like to make the forms and blends in bold strokes , more like in a controlled sketch , and sometimes i just like to see the brushstrokes !
The Graphic style, as in the last one ,is great fun to do !

Pride and Javi72 are getting close…i’ve got to watch my back  …so who knows
i might be tempted to do some more…and its good exercise !

Number 8 : Hot sea beach

Brevity of rushy busy occupied painter star

Cali must have been surprised !..or is the thread alive too in France ?

jantim

… it’s not the first time that it lives again!
There were some resurrections in the past
And that surprising always Cali
Her “line” is a little simple masterpiece rolleyes:
Monster is alive!

What a great thread this is. :+1: Excellent for learning about ZB’s capabilities too.

The picture & pose reminded me of a classic film…

What a charming cuty series :sunglasses:
Your classical movie as italian films (Antonioni, Fellini) or all old american :+1:
Your B&W can be also Audrey Hepburn :+1:

Great stuff guys.

We need to start a Paint Brush Archive for all these wonder brush styles on this thread. Maybe like the Texture and Alpha palettes in other threads.
I did a search here and at the Wiki but did not find any collections of paint brushes.
So I was thinking we should start one.

Any ideas? :qu:

The Wiki resources is made for that!
Add your item

marcus_civis…that’s a great serie :+1: …i like the etching effect, made with metal shader, i believe ? The washed ink looks great too !
…Did you found a cure for the “negative” alpha inprint in bristle mode !!

jantim

Frenchy,
this thread has been a great idea-- thanks!

marcus_civis,
I’m really enjoying jantim’s explosion of variety, and you show us something very different. Inspiring effects!

BTW, your impasto [cali_oil.jpg] reminds me of the famous portraits rendered as fruits and vegetables… Cali shown from peas, peanuts, berries and bean dip!

Thanks for all the inspiration, guys! Watching this forum is a powerful multiplier… this newbie appreciates the generosity here.

…Davinci

Thanks for the comments.

Frenchy,
Yes, the nonpareil Audrey is my inspiration.

jantim,
The etching effect is simply an adjusted fiber material. I’ve used the depth brush and a variety of custom ‘3D’ brushes, no ‘bristle mode’ so I don’t get the negative alpha problem.

Davinci,
That’s a fun idea!

Cheers,
