Templates in 3.12 Mac doesn´t work

Hi there,

the whole evening I tried out, how to import image planes in ZBrush. I studied the Jason Walsh video, I tried out everything I could find, nevertheless: it doesn´t work.

When I import the image plane file, bring it to the canvas and append the flat color material, until there: no problem.

But if I load my image, I created from the image plane picture file, in the texture menu, nothing happens: the image plane appears still white.

Is there maybe an other way to do this in 3.12? I feel a bit stupid now, because, I´am sure, I did not make any mistake.

Thanks, if you can help me.

Stephan

In ZBrush 3.12 you can assign textures to individual SubTools. This means that ZBrush no longer looks at the Texture palette to determine the texture that’s being applied. It now looks at the thumbnail found in the Tool>Texture Map menu. Click that thumbnail and select the image that you loaded into the Texture palette.

More info on this and other 3.12 subjects is found in the PDF documentation found in the new Download Center. See the bright orange thumbnail in the top row?

Hi Aurick,

you want to tease me? There is EVERYTHING written in orange!!!

(found it already, thank you, I like written manuals)
