Tareq Mirza's metalwork with 3D Printing

Hi Everyone!

It’s been awhile since I have posted here in Zbrushcentral. I’ve been getting into traditional metalwork and over the past year have started blending that with 3D printings. Here are a few images of some pieces I have made. All the work posted here was modeled and sculpted in Zbrush. Work is mostly stainless steel and brass.

These are some pretty awesome looking models

brilliant work, worthy of top row for sure.

are those cast or direct metal printed? either way they look great. want to see more posted

Thanks for the kind words!

They brass head was printed in wax, and then cast. They were done through Shapeways. Then the three separate parts were soldered together, since it was too big to cast as one piece. Then polished and stones added last.

The darker metal is stainless steel with a patina. Those were direct powder printed with a binder. Then fired in a kiln where the binding agent was burned out and replace with bronze. Done directly through ExOne.

Here’s a full shot of the Awakening Sculpture.

That’s fantastic results!!
Do you have some ZBrush screenshots of the model, just to compare the digital model and the cast model?

Hi, thanks for the compliment!

Here are a few screen grabs from Zbrush and a look dev render I did in Modo.
