Tablet Services Not Available?

My Wacom Bamboo is plugged in and functions correctly but I receive this message. Why? What does it mean?

I get this every so often with my Intuos 4 tablet on Windows. If you’re also using Windows, I came across another thread that mentioned that explained that sometimes other services conflict with the Wacom service. Restarting the Wacom service when this happens and then opening ZBrush seems to work.

In most versions of Windows (I haven’t used Windows 8), you can just type “Services” from the Run command in the Start Menu to access the Services app. Another way to get to it is Control Panel> Administrative Tools. In the list of services, look for a service that starts with “Wacom”. Typing W should take you to it. Make sure it’s highlighted (selected) and click the restart button/link. After the service stops and then restarts, open Zbrush.

I hope this works as well for you as it did for me. Good luck.

Thank you, I will try this and come back with the results.

Okay, nothing changed. ARGH! It’s not an Intuos either, it’s a Bamboo Capture I think.
