After posing my base mesh I notice that I’m no longer able to sculpt my model using symmetry… what I sculpt on one side doesn’t match on the other… is there a way to fix this i.e. reset a mirror plane or something?
Go to level one and mask one half of the model. (Whichever half is the best or has the most detail.) Then use Tool>Deformation>Smart ReSym. Go up one level and use Smart ReSym again. Repeat as you work your way up through the levels.

Right, I figured that… and for some reason, it will work on one model and not on another. I’ve tried on two separate characters, that were sculpted from the same base mesh and are symetrical.
