Symmetry in imported model.

Hi guys!!!

I have already created similar thread on Sculptris Forum. But… it is very hard to get answer there. I really want to start working in Zbrush… but here is a problem. I want to import my model from Scultpris in Zbrush as tool. Problem is that i dont know how to import it with maintaining of symmetry. Of course i want work with symmetry at the beginning, but when you already have model without symmetry, i dont know how to apply it properly.

So… pls help

Your model will automatically have symmetry when you import it into ZBrush, provided you used symmetry when you were creating it. If you turned symmetry on and off while sculpting then you will get mixed results when using symmetry in ZBrush.

If you want your model to be completely symmetrical then you may find the Mirror And Weld function useful. This takes one side of your model and then duplicates it across the axis you choose, deleting the extra geometry and welding the result.

Oh tnx!!! It helped me a lot. Mb it is only my opinion, but Zbrush has a little bit weird and sophisticated interface… all this pixols, edit/draw mode… Sculptris is so much easier and intuitive imho. But may be it is only at the beginning.

ZBrush is not just a 3D application and is much more powerful than Sculptris. See here:
