Symmetry Help!

Hello.

I modelled a Robot in Max with a lot of pieces on symmetry. Then, i moved and rotate the pieces around the robot, then export it to Zbrush for detailing.

Now i want to detail the pieces but the symmetry doesnt work neither with Local symmetry ON because i rotate my pieces.

There are any way to reorientate the symmetry pivot point ?!

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks a lot

You are using the X button for your symmetry?
You rotate your object with the keybord shortcuts and your mouse, not with the Interface buttons?

I rotate and moved my pieces in max, so they are not on 0,0,0.

With that new ubication and rotation i exported them to zbrush, and i cant detail them on symmetry.

Oh, i understand. Yes. Mhh, Whats about going back to max, setting als points to zero and exporting it again?

I didn’t even know, that ZBrush takes the information for the symmetrie from the object itself. But sound logical, yes. I think the way back to max would be the best idea.

Oh Yes, that would be the solution! set all pieces on 0,0,0 and work like that on zbrush, but could be better to work on zbrush with all together on their respective position and rotation. . .

There is a buttom on zbrush “Local Symmetry” but this only give a symmetry of any object that has been moved from the origin, but if this object has been rotate, it doesn´t work.

Would be Great if zbrush could take the position and rotation information of any object and apply a symmetry over that.
