Symmetry and masking.

im having the difficult problem where when i mask off an area and sculpt/rotate/move the unmasked area, the symmetry is somewhat broken.

specifically, i have a model and his fingers are no longer symmetrical becase of masking i beleive…

  1. what is causing this?

  2. Is there a mirror function, so that i may project the details from the right side to the left side or vice versa?

  3. any other workarounds?

not sure where you’re getting the loss of sym…but to fix

go to your lowest SubD
mask off the “good” part
tool>deformations>smart resym

do this on each subD level.

should be all set.
