Symmetry after Dynamesh

Hey guys, I have a zbrush sculpt that I did a few versions ago. I don’t even remember why but it was all triangles. I did a retop/remesh thing to get rid of the triangles. I then converted to Dynamesh. The sculpt was a bust and in dynamesh I built the rest of the body. That’s all good. Problem is I want to go in and sculpt the fase symmetrically but can’t seem to get symmetry to work. I’s close but not correct. I was told it had to do with dynamesh not makeing symmetrical polys. Is there an old-school way to copy my sculpting from the right side of the face to the left side of the face?

Thanks in advance.

Wayne

Under geometry panel, “mirror and weld”. If it’s ok, dynamesh it.

Thanks. Do I have to mask off the right side first?

Worked perfectly. Thanks!

Ok, thought this was working but it is mirroring right to left and I want to mirror left to right. How do you designate mirror direction?

Thanks.

Mirror and Weld only works from left to right. you can got to Deformation > Rotate and rotate 180* , Mirror and weld, then rotate back 180*. You can also use Deformation > Mirror button.

Thanks! Did not get a perfect weld though. Some seam issues and it made some trianges vs all quads. Found them and holes when I smooth out the seam.
