Sym on Rotated tool.

Hello brushers!

I’m currently working on this character who has a shield on one of his forearms.

I imported the shield as a sub tool and all that, posed it on the forearm, and now i want to tweak it with sym, however, it doesn’t seem to be possible?

“L.Sym” doesn’t work when the tool is rotated, and when I’m trying to use “posable sym” it just say: “00.000021% (or something like that) symmetry points found. Symmetry map was not created.”

It does that with all of my subtools, even if it’s in the center.

Please help

Posable symmetry is hard to get,and is also easy to loose.
I also have a lot of perfectly symmetrical objects that Posable symmetry and SmartResym refuse to see as symmetrical.

Here is a good workaroud for you:

Use 3Dlayers to Store 2 positions for your object.
position 1= your centered object with x symmetry.
position 2= your rotated “design” position for your object

Toggle position1 to sculpt in symmetry, toggle position2 to see how it looks rotated.
DONT SCULPT ON THOSE 2 LAYERS,they need to be kept as positions only.Do your Sculpting unto other 3d layers.

Hope that helps:)

(Btw this section is for Zscripter to ask help, question like yours are better posted there http://www.zbrushcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=101)
