I am starting to use the Sweep Profile Tool in Z2 (this tool I understand from Pilou is also in Z1.55b see the link here web page for his screen saves and I have posted a screen save showing it’s loc in Z2 ). And to qoute Ron Harris (also a post in the link above) “this tool is one very under rated tool in the z arsenal.” Sense the sweep profile tool is in both Z1.55b and Z2 both demo users and Z2 users can create with the sweep profile tool. To create a model with the sweep profile tool does not take long to do and would the ZBC members to take some time and create something with it and post an image of it. I would like for you to take the time and add some detail to the model using only the edit>draw OR edit>draw masking (or inverse masking) using only the move in edit mode OR edit>draw masking (or inverse masking) using only the scale in edit mode OR a combination of the above. I think we can learn a lot from each other about the use of this tool and about adding detail to the Sweep Profile Tool with only the edit>draw>masking>move>scale modes.
I have a couple of help questions about fine detailing onto a sweep profile tool and the first is can you create a texture map from the sweep profile tool with no texture on which then can be drawn onto as doc in Z2 (or other graphics program) then appalied to the model as a texture then use edit>draw masking on to trace the detail then inverse the mask and use edit>draw>move to bring out the detail? Having said that I would like to know of other ways to detailing onto a Sweep Profile Tool. The second question is about the thickness of the sweep profile tool model how do you make the model solid?
The model in the image was created with the Sweep Profile Tool then I used the edit>draw with ctrl pressed for masking then did an inverse of the masking and used the edit>draw>move to create the detail. The image to the left is with inverse masking on.
