Surface Pro 3 - ZB 4R7 P3 - x64 - Stylus lags when quicksave <60s

As soon as the “about to quicksave - t-minus 60 seconds” pops up in the titlebar my stylus dies entirely on me.

Pretty much a bone stock system with zbrush running and nothing else but radial menu.

Checked batteries. Seem fine.

Also not sure why, but no matter what I set the timeout to be for quicksave, it’s popping up damn near every minute. This is making this whole setup completely unusable. Any ideas?

I disabled autosave in preferences because that. Using a cintiq.

600 minutes is OK for me between quick saves

Be sure to store the configuration (Shift+Ctrl+i) if you make changes to Preferences.

I was going to turn it off, but there is no “off”

I changed it and stored the config, and it still pops up there every minute or so and kills my wintab service for a few seconds to 30ish… supremely annoying. I even upgraded to windows 10 last night thinking just maybe…

No dice.

I am wondering if it’s not detecting the pen as “activity” because it still pops up like it thinks the machine is idle.

The “one note” hotkey eraser button works 100% when this happens, and i can click on the screen with my finger, but the pen interface is shot.

Have you increased to 600 minutes?

It went to 90 and 30 (90 normal and 30 idle) and still did it every minute or so. It doesn’t count all the way down, but it starts and that’s exactly when it lags the pen out. I kinda watch that like a hawk now. I’ve stored the config, shut ZB down, rebooted, etc.
