Surface Noise

Can I stretch noise let’s say only horizontally or vertically?

Can anyone tell me what would be the simplest way to get a noise of similar kind like this horizontally stretched one on the pictures I have attached [![14.jpg|556x304](upload://8yX9I8pP5BxB9EYGS4ZGqdoWkO9.jpeg)]![15.jpg|225x148](upload://b9lW42Zt42il9VxfIvEx8zsepwM.jpeg)

Can anyone help please?

I’m not quite sure what your question is?

How can I make this stretched bumpy surface with the Noise available in Tool Pallet> Surface. Is it possible?
I know that I could paint it manually with the brush but just for the future reference so I could save time is it possible to make add stretching to the noise map just like 3ds max allows?

I think you’re asking for long striations as a bump map.

As far as I know you can’t do this with tool.surface

You can however create a quick noise map (using tool.surface if you like) on a flat plane, grab that doc as an alpha.

Do a quick unwrap of your mesh then stretch that texture and apply it as a mask then perform different tool.deformations until you get the desired result.

But there isn’t a super fast procedural way to do this in Zbrush.
