Surface Noise - Applied, bloats the model excessively.

hi, i did search but could not find anything on this… the noise is subtle in the viewport but when I hit apply to mesh, the model bloats up to an unrecognizable state…

the model is UV’d and has 10M polys when I hit apply.

is there an option I missed. I would think it would be applied as subtle as what is seen in the viewport ?

You could try applying the noise on a layer or morph target and then try to dial the strength down that way if it turns out to be more excessive than the preview
