Surface Book pen pressure sensitivity non-existent?

Hey all,
did a quick search and didn’t find much, but has anyone noticed that there seems to be zero pen pressure sensitivity in ZB on the Surface Book? I’ve tried a bunch of brushes but they all behave the same way - I can glide the pen across the surface lightly and nothing happens. Then at some point, the pressure sensitivity kicks in and I get 100% pressure no matter how hard or lightly I press (unless I cross the threshold and get no pressure sensitivity at all again). Its easy to see with the Standard brush with a high intensity setting - once the stroke registers, the height of stroke is consistent as I vary the pressure of the pen on the screen.

Its not the hardware…or rather, my Surface Book isn’t broken as I can see very clear variation in stroke strength in other applications like Art Rage. I’m not sure why ZB would react any differently than any other app since the pen hardware and digitizer are clearly registering different pressure levels.

nevermind, apparently I was behind on a hardware flash. once I got that, the Pen and Touch settings were available and I could turn off touch which helped immensely. The sensitivity is also now in evidence. There is still some lag and the sensitivity seems limited to much less than the 1024 levels that are available, but at least that seems like known problems as opposed to the weirdness I was seeing before the hardware flash.

Thanks!!
