Support Center New Account Registration Problem

I created a new Support Account in the Support Center but I can’t login. Thinking it’s a mistyped or forgotten password I try to retrieve lost password and it says Invalid Username. How do I ask for support about my support account if I can’t login to use the support account? ( I think my head just exploded :stuck_out_tongue: )

I know it is the correct email address I registered with.

Did you verify your account via the secondary email that contained the link you needed to click on to verify your account and activate it?

I did not receive a verification email. Even checked my spam folder. I believe this is the problem. I am 100% positive I used the correct email address. It seems the system just did not send the verification, or is hung up with all the upgrade emails being sent out.

Sounds reasonable to me. I should point out, however that I just made a support account as well, maybe an hour ago, and got the verification email right away.

This is not an official response by any means, but if you are actually 100% sure the correct email was used, I’d probably wait a day to give it a chance to come through, then contact support. You might have to do it by phone, as the support personnel are going to be very busy over the next week, you clearly can’t do it through the support system, and it might be difficult to get their attention here.

I have just checked the Support system and Bingo_Jackson’s guess was correct. The site shows that it’s still waiting for you to act on the confirmation email that was sent to you.

I have just told the site to resend that email. Please be sure to check your spam filter or junk mail folder as well.

I just received an activation email now. It did not go to my spam. Account is working fine now. Thanks for responding so quickly.

I’m having an identical issue. Applied for account, waited a couple hours, no verify email, not in spam folder, tried to recover with lost password, but of course it doesn’t recognize me.

Ironically, I got the verify email for the forums instantly. :wink:

Having the exact same problem here. Registered for a support account, waited a couple hours, nothing. Tried the lost password thing, it doesn’t know my user/pass. Funny enough my forum registration was instantaneous.

It’s not in my spam folder either.

Without knowing your email address there’s nothing I can do. Please submit a support ticket. You do not need to be registered on the support site to do so.

just remove the obviously unhelpful characters from my email. (spam bots are probably too smart for this stuff anyway, I wonder why I bother)

I am having the same problem. I never received the conformation email. When I tried to login to the form it said my account was invalid so I tried to have my password resent and received that email instaly. open a support ticket but I still wondered what cased this…will wait and see

My registration finally went through, I guess the email was severely delayed give the 3.5 release. Thanks and sorry for the trouble!
